Major Design Project, BA Architecture, Year 3

A regenerative design focused on the use of plants to purify and restore balance of Frog Island, a historically industrial area of Leicester City. 

Setting its roots in a mechanic workshop, the project seeks to improve the current programme by focusing on the conversion of petrol cars to electric, whilst also offering a new path, which blossoms throughout the city.

The spatial qualities of the project have been determined by the existing building and the selected plants.

Final Year 2 Studio Design Project

Bringing a diverse yet isolated community together through growing of vegetables and sharing of culinary customs.

Leicester, one of the most diverse cities in the UK, became the perfect place for the Horta to flourish.

First Year 2 Studio Design Project

A brief to create a library next to the Leicester Museum + Art Gallery.

A specific interest was taken on the inclusive nature of the library, specially to those on the autism spectrum. 

Final Year 1 Studio Design Project

A return of the animal kingdom to the centre of Leicester City Centre.

An exhibition focused on how different animals see the world around us.

As a first year project, a lot of experimenting with drastically different media was encouraged and completed.

Second Year 1 Studio Design Project

The Break Space module was intended to introduce students to the design of a small-scale public space, with a special focus as to how bodily sensory experience can impact the programme.

First Year 1 Studio Design Project

The first project aimed to introduce simple architectural drawing  techniques, i.e section, plan, elevation.

In order to complete this, an object was picked, drawn, taken apart and drawn again. 

Lastly the object was redesigned as something else.
